Aluminium Entry

Aluminium drill entry foil is a solid aluminium foil suitable for use as entry material for the drilling of printed circuit boards. Aluminium drill entry foil is supplied in production-ready panels, with custom tooling holes or slots if required. The foil can also be supplied in a range of master sheet sizes, which allow panel yield to be optimized.

Our aluminium entry offers the following advantages:
- Uniformly smooth surface for better positional accuracy
- Favorable thermal transfer characteristics for cooler drilling
- Choice of preferred thickness - 0.18 to 0.25 mm
- Reclaimable to offset initial purchase costs

Drill Back Up Board

  • Back-up boards manufactured specially for drilling purpose - produced on a flat press from perfectly clean wood fibres without the addition of phenolic resin
  • Excellent flatness and thickness tolerance
  • Minimum burr and tool wear due to high density and flatness of the material surface
  • Homogeneous high density core guarantees, excellent chipping and good cleaning of the drill
  • Suitable for all drill diameters
  • No hole contamination resulting from phenolic particles or resin smear

  • Reduced drill wear: The wood fibres, being clear of resin and sand, clean the cutting edges of the drill and thus keep them sharp for longer duration. The drill debris can be easily removed through the drill flutes, which reduces the danger of drill breakage. The lower friction keeps the drill within a lower temperature range
